English Translation
ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
মানুষের হিসাব নিকাশের সময় আসন্ন, কিন্তু তারা উদাসীনতায় মুখ ফিরিয়ে রয়েছে।
English
Sahih International:
[The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away.
مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا ٱسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যখনই তাদের নিকট তাদের রবের কোন নতুন উপদেশ আসে তখন তারা তা শ্রবণ করে কৌতুকচ্ছলে।
English
Sahih International:
No mention [i.e., revelation] comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play
لَاهِيَةً قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجْوَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ هَلْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ ۖ أَفَتَأْتُونَ ٱلسِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাদের অন্তর থাকে অমনোযোগী, সীমা লংঘনকারীরা গোপনে পরামর্শ করেঃ এতো তোমাদের মতই একজন মানুষ, তবুও কি তোমরা দেখে শুনে যাদুর কবলে পড়বে?
English
Sahih International:
With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?"
قَالَ رَبِّى يَعْلَمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
বলঃ আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর সমস্ত কথাই আমার রাব্ব অবগত আছেন এবং তিনিই সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বজ্ঞ।
English
Sahih International:
He [the Prophet (ﷺ)] said, "My Lord knows whatever is said throughout the heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing."
بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَـٰثُ أَحْلَـٰمٍۭ بَلِ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِـَٔايَةٍ كَمَآ أُرْسِلَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা এটাও বলেঃ এ সব অলীক কল্পনা হয় সে উদ্ভাবন করেছে, না হয় সে একজন কবি; অতএব সে আনয়ন করুক আমাদের নিকট এক নিদর্শন যেরূপ নিদর্শনসহ প্রেরিত হয়েছিল পূর্ববর্তীগণ।

Sahih International:
But they say, "[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles]."
مَآ ءَامَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَآ ۖ أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাদের পূর্বে যে সব জনপদ আমি ধ্বংস করেছি ওর অধিবাসীরা ঈমান আনেনি; তাহলে কি তারা ঈমান আনবে?
English
Sahih International:
Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe?
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তোমার পূর্বে আমি অহীসহ মানুষই পাঠিয়েছিলাম; তোমরা যদি না জান তাহলে জ্ঞানীদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর।
English
Sahih International:
And We sent not before you, [O Muḥammad], except men to whom We revealed [the message], so ask the people of the message [i.e., former scriptures] if you do not know.
وَمَا جَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَـٰلِدِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর আমি তাদেরকে এমন দেহ বিশিষ্ট করিনি যে, তারা আহার্য গ্রহণ করতনা। তারা চিরস্থায়ীও ছিলনা।
English
Sahih International:
And We did not make them [i.e., the prophets] forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth].
ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অতঃপর আমি তাদের প্রতি আমার প্রতিশ্রুতি পূর্ণ করলাম, আমি তাদেরকে ও যাদেরকে ইচ্ছা রক্ষা করেছিলাম এবং যালিমদেরকে করেছিলাম ধ্বংস।

Sahih International:
Then We fulfilled for them the promise, and We saved them and whom We willed and destroyed the transgressors.
لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَـٰبًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমিতো তোমাদের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ করেছি কিতাব যাতে আছে তোমাদের জন্য উপদেশ, তবুও কি তোমরা বুঝবেনা?
English
Sahih International:
We have certainly sent down to you a Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] in which is your mention. Then will you not reason?
وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি ধ্বংস করেছি কত জনপদ যার অধিবাসীরা ছিল যালিম এবং তাদের পরে সৃষ্টি করেছি অপর জাতি।
English
Sahih International:
And how many a city which was unjust have We shattered and produced after it another people.
فَلَمَّآ أَحَسُّوا۟ بَأْسَنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অতঃপর যখন তারা আমার শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করল তখনই তারা জনপদ হতে পালাতে লাগল।
English
Sahih International:
And when they [i.e., its inhabitants] perceived Our punishment, at once they fled from it.
لَا تَرْكُضُوا۟ وَٱرْجِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَـٰكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْـَٔلُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাদেরকে বলা হলঃ পলায়ন করনা এবং ফিরে এসো তোমাদের ভোগ সম্ভারের নিকট এবং তোমাদের আবাসগৃহে, হয়তো এ বিষয়ে তোমাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করা হতে পারে।

Sahih International:
[Some angels said], "Do not flee but return to where you were given luxury and to your homes - perhaps you will be questioned."
قَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা বললঃ হায় দুর্ভোগ আমাদের! আমরাতো ছিলাম যালিম।
English
Sahih International:
They said, "O woe to us! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَـٰمِدِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাদের এই আর্তনাদ চলতে থাকে যতক্ষণ না আমি তাদেরকে কর্তিত শস্য ও নির্বাপিত আগুন সদৃশ করি।
English
Sahih International:
And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire].
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আকাশ ও পৃথিবী এবং যা এতদুভয়ের মধ্যে রয়েছে তা আমি ক্রীড়াচ্ছলে সৃষ্টি করিনি।
English
Sahih International:
And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.
لَوْ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّٱتَّخَذْنَـٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি যদি ক্রীড়ার উপকরণ চাইতাম তাহলে আমি আমার নিকট যা আছে তা দিয়েই ওটা করতাম, আমি তা করিনি।
English
Sahih International:
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.
بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِٱلْحَقِّ عَلَى ٱلْبَـٰطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُۥ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ ۚ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
কিন্তু আমি সত্য দ্বারা আঘাত হানি মিথ্যার উপর; ফলে ওটা মিথ্যাকে চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ করে দেয় এবং তৎক্ষণাৎ মিথ্যা নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে যায়। দুর্ভোগ তোমাদের! তোমরা যা বলছ তার জন্য।

Sahih International:
Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe.
وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে যা আছে তা তাঁরই, তাঁর সান্নিধ্যে যারা আছে তারা অহংকার করে তাঁর ইবাদাত করা হতে বিমুখ হয়না এবং ক্লান্তিও বোধ করেনা।
English
Sahih International:
To Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those near Him [i.e., the angels] are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, nor do they tire.
يُسَبِّحُونَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা দিন-রাত তাঁর পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করে, শৈথিল্য করেনা।
English
Sahih International:
They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken.
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা মাটি হতে তৈরী যে সব দেবতা গ্রহণ করেছে সেগুলি কি মৃতকে জীবিত করতে সক্ষম?
English
Sahih International:
Or have they [i.e., men] taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]?
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَآ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ فَسُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে যদি আল্লাহ ছাড়া বহু মা‘বূদ থাকত তাহলে উভয়ই ধ্বংস হয়ে যেত। অতএব তারা যা বলে তা হতে আরশের রাব্ব (অধিপতি) আল্লাহ পবিত্র, মহান।
English
Sahih International:
Had there been within them [i.e., the heavens and earth] gods besides Allāh, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allāh, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
لَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْـَٔلُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তিনি যা করেন সেই বিষয়ে তাঁকে প্রশ্ন করা যাবেনা; বরং তাদেরকেই প্রশ্ন করা হবে।
English
Sahih International:
He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً ۖ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَـٰنَكُمْ ۖ هَـٰذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِىَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِى ۗ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা তাঁকে ছাড়া বহু মা‘বূদ গ্রহণ করেছে? বলঃ তোমরা তোমাদের প্রমাণ উপস্থিত কর। এটাই আমার সাথে যারা আছে তাদের জন্য উপদেশ এবং এটাই উপদেশ ছিল আমার পূর্ববর্তীদের জন্য। কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই প্রকৃত সত্য জানেনা, ফলে তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।

Sahih International:
Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muḥammad], "Produce your proof. This [Qur’ān] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me." But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدُونِ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি তোমার পূর্বে এমন কোন রাসূল প্রেরণ করিনি তার প্রতি ‘লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহ’ এই অহী ব্যতীত। সুতরাং তোমরা আমারই ইবাদাত কর।

Sahih International:
And We sent not before you any messenger except We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."
وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَلَدًا ۗ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۚ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা বলেঃ দয়াময় আল্লাহ সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন। তিনি পবিত্র মহান! তারাতো তাঁর সম্মানিত বান্দা।
English
Sahih International:
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants.
لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ وَهُم بِأَمْرِهِۦ يَعْمَلُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা তাঁর আগে বেড়ে কথা বলে না; তারা তো তাঁর আদেশ অনুসারেই কাজ করে।
English
Sahih International:
They cannot precede Him in word, and they act by His command.
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ٱرْتَضَىٰ وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِۦ مُشْفِقُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাদের সম্মুখে ও পশ্চাতে যা কিছু আছে তা তিনি অবগত। তারা সুপারিশ করে শুধু তাদের জন্য যাদের প্রতি তিনি সন্তষ্ট এবং তারা তাঁর ভয়ে ভীত সন্ত্রস্ত।

Sahih International:
He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves. And they, from fear of Him, are apprehensive.
۞ وَمَن يَقُلْ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّىٓ إِلَـٰهٌ مِّن دُونِهِۦ فَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِيهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাদের মধ্যে যে বলবেঃ তিনি ব্যতীত আমিই মা‘বূদ, তাকে আমি প্রতিফল দিব জাহান্নাম, এভাবেই আমি যালিমদেরকে প্রতিফল দিয়ে থাকি।
English
Sahih International:
And whoever of them should say, "Indeed, I am a god besides Him" - that one We would recompense with Hell. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers.
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَـٰهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ حَىٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যারা কুফরী করে তারা কি ভেবে দেখেনা যে, আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবী মিশে ছিল ওতপ্রোতভাবে; অতঃপর আমি উভয়কে পৃথক করে দিলাম এবং প্রাণবান সমস্ত কিছু সৃষ্টি করলাম পানি হতে; তবুও কি তারা বিশ্বাস করবেনা?
English
Sahih International:
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and then We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?
وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং আমি পৃথিবীতে সৃষ্টি করেছি সুদৃঢ় পর্বত যাতে পৃথিবী তাদেরকে নিয়ে এদিক-ওদিক টলে না যায় এবং আমি তাতে করে দিয়েছি প্রশস্ত পথ যাতে তারা গন্তব্য স্থলে পৌঁছতে পারে।
English
Sahih International:
And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا ۖ وَهُمْ عَنْ ءَايَـٰتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং আকাশকে করেছি সুরক্ষিত ছাদ। কিন্তু তারা আকাশস্থিত নিদর্শনাবলী হতে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
English
Sahih International:
And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away.
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
(আল্লাহই) সৃষ্টি করেছেন রাত ও দিন এবং সূর্য ও চাঁদ; প্রত্যেকেই নিজ নিজ কক্ষপথে বিচরণ করে।
English
Sahih International:
And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming.
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ ٱلْخُلْدَ ۖ أَفَإِي۟ن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ ٱلْخَـٰلِدُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি তোমার পূর্বেও কোন মানুষকে চিরস্থায়ী জীবন দান করিনি; সুতরাং তোমার মৃত্যু হলে তারা কি চিরঞ্জীব হয়ে থাকবে?
English
Sahih International:
And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal?
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۗ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِٱلشَّرِّ وَٱلْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً ۖ وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
জীব মাত্রই মৃত্যুর স্বাদ গ্রহণ করবে; আমি তোমাদেরকে মন্দ ও ভাল দ্বারা বিশেষভাবে পরীক্ষা করি এবং আমারই নিকট তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।

Sahih International:
Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.
وَإِذَا رَءَاكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى يَذْكُرُ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ هُمْ كَـٰفِرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
কাফিরেরা যখন তোমাকে দেখে তখন তারা তোমাকে শুধু বিদ্রুপের পাত্র রূপেই গ্রহণ করে। তারা বলেঃ এই কি সে যে তোমাদের দেবতাগুলির সমালোচনা করে? অথচ তারাইতো ‘রাহমান’ এর উল্লেখের বিরোধিতা করে।
English
Sahih International:
And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muḥammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who mentions [i.e., insults] your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers.
خُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ ۚ سَأُو۟رِيكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِى فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
মানুষ সৃষ্টিগতভাবে ত্বরা প্রবণ, শীঘ্রই আমি তোমাদেরকে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী দেখাব; সুতরাং তোমরা আমাকে ত্বরা করতে বলনা।
English
Sahih International:
Man was created of haste [i.e., impatience]. I will show you My signs [i.e., vengeance], so do not impatiently urge Me.
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর তারা বলেঃ তোমরা যদি সত্যবাদী হও তাহলে বল, এই প্রতিশ্রুতি কখন পূর্ণ হবে?

Sahih International:
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
لَوْ يَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
হায়! যদি কাফিরেরা সেই সময়ের কথা জানতো যখন তারা তাদের সম্মুখ ও পশ্চাত হতে আগুন প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবেনা এবং তাদেরকে সাহায্য করাও হবেনা।

Sahih International:
If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided...
بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
বস্তুতঃ ওটা তাদের উপর আসবে অতর্কিতে এবং তাদেরকে হতভম্ব করে দিবে; ফলে তারা ওটা রোধ করতে পারবেনা এবং তাদেরকে অবকাশ দেয়া হবেনা।

Sahih International:
Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved.
وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তোমার পূর্বেও অনেক রাসূলকেই ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করা হয়েছিল; পরিণামে তারা যা নিয়ে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করত তা বিদ্রুপকারীদেরকে পরিবেষ্টন করেছিল।

Sahih International:
And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
قُلْ مَن يَكْلَؤُكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مِنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۗ بَلْ هُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
বলঃ ‘রাহমান’ এর পরিবর্তে কে তোমাদেরকে রক্ষা করছে রাতে ও দিনে? তবুও তারা তাদের রবের স্মরণ হতে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।

Sahih International:
Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away.
أَمْ لَهُمْ ءَالِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا ۚ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাহলে কি আমি ব্যতীত তাদের এমন আরাধ্য আছে যারা তাদেরকে রক্ষা করতে পারে? তারাতো নিজেদেরকেই সাহায্য করতে পারেনা এবং আমার বিরুদ্ধে তাদের সাহায্যকারীও থাকবেনা।

Sahih International:
Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.
بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْعُمُرُ ۗ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِى ٱلْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَآ ۚ أَفَهُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
বস্তুতঃ আমিই তাদেরকে এবং তাদের পিতৃ-পুরুষদেরকে ভোগ সম্ভার দিয়েছিলাম; অধিকন্ত তাদের আয়ুস্কালও হয়েছিল দীর্ঘ; তারা কি দেখছেনা যে, আমি তাদের দেশকে চতুর্দিক হতে সংকুচিত করে আনছি; তবুও কি তারা বিজয়ী হবে?
English
Sahih International:
But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? Is it they who will overcome?
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُنذِرُكُم بِٱلْوَحْىِ ۚ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
বলঃ আমিতো শুধু অহী দ্বারাই তোমাদেরকে সতর্ক করি, কিন্তু যারা বধির তাদেরকে যখন সতর্ক করা হয় তখন তারা সতর্কবাণী শোনেনা।

Sahih International:
Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.
وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তোমার রবের শাস্তির কিছুমাত্রও তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করলে তারা নিশ্চয়ই বলে উঠবেঃ হায়! দুর্ভোগ আমাদের, আমরাতো ছিলাম যালিম!
English
Sahih International:
And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."
وَنَضَعُ ٱلْمَوَٰزِينَ ٱلْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِنَا حَـٰسِبِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং কিয়ামাত দিবসে আমি স্থাপন করব ন্যায়বিচারের মানদন্ড। সুতরাং কারও প্রতি কোন অবিচার করা হবেনা এবং কাজ যদি সরিষার দানা পরিমাণ ওজনেরও হয় তাও আমি উপস্থিত করব। হিসাব গ্রহণকারীরূপে আমিই যথেষ্ট।

Sahih International:
And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant.
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَآءً وَذِكْرًا لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমিতো মূসা ও হারূনকে দিয়েছিলাম মীমাংসাকারী গ্রন্থ, জ্যোতি এবং মুত্তাকীদের জন্য উপদেশ –
English
Sahih International:
And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous
ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যারা না দেখেও তাদের রাব্বকে ভয় করে এবং কিয়ামাত সম্পর্কে থাকে ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত।
English
Sahih International:
Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive.
وَهَـٰذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ ۚ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এটি কল্যাণময় উপদেশ; আমিই এটি অবতীর্ণ করেছি; তবুও কি তোমরা এটাকে অস্বীকার করবে?
English
Sahih International:
And this [Qur’ān] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you with it unacquainted?
۞ وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ رُشْدَهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِهِۦ عَـٰلِمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি এর পূর্বে ইবরাহীমকে সৎ পথের জ্ঞান দিয়েছিলাম এবং আমি তার সম্বন্ধে ছিলাম সম্যক অবগত।

Sahih International:
And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَـٰكِفُونَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যখন সে তার পিতা ও তার সম্প্রদায়কে বললঃ এই মূর্তিগুলি কি, যাদের পূজায় তোমরা রত রয়েছ?

Sahih International:
When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"
قَالُوا۟ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا لَهَا عَـٰبِدِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা বললঃ আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এদের পূজা করতে দেখেছি।
English
Sahih International:
They said, "We found our fathers worshippers of them."
قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنتُمْ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمْ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সে বললঃ তোমরা নিজেরা এবং তোমাদের পূর্ব-পুরুষরাও রয়েছ স্পষ্ট বিভ্রান্তিতে।

Sahih International:
He said, "You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error."
قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱللَّـٰعِبِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা বললঃ তুমি কি আমাদের নিকট সত্য এনেছ, নাকি তুমি কৌতুক করছ?
English
Sahih International:
They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?"
قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا۠ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সে বললঃ না, তোমাদের রাব্বতো আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর রাব্ব, যিনি ওগুলি সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং এই বিষয়ে আমি অন্যতম সাক্ষী।

Sahih International:
He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify.
وَتَٱللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَـٰمَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
শপথ আল্লাহর! তোমরা চলে গেলে আমি তোমাদের মূর্তিগুলি সম্বন্ধে অবশ্যই ব্যবস্থা অবলম্বন করব।
English
Sahih International:
And [I swear] by Allāh, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away."
فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَٰذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অতঃপর সে চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ করে দিল মূর্তিগুলিকে, তাদের বড় (প্রধান) মূর্তিটি ব্যতীত, যাতে তারা তার দিকে ফিরে আসে।

Sahih International:
So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question].
قَالُوا۟ مَن فَعَلَ هَـٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা বললঃ আমাদের উপাস্যগুলির প্রতি এরূপ করল কে? সে নিশ্চয়ই সীমালংঘনকারী।

Sahih International:
They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers."
قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُۥٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
কেহ কেহ বললঃ আমরা এক যুবককে ওদের সমালোচনা করতে শুনেছি, তাকে বলা হয় ইবরাহীম।

Sahih International:
They said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham."
قَالُوا۟ فَأْتُوا۟ بِهِۦ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِ ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা বললঃ তাকে উপস্থিত কর লোক সম্মুখে, যাতে তারা সাক্ষ্য দিতে পারে।

Sahih International:
They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify."
قَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَـٰذَا بِـَٔالِهَتِنَا يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা বললঃ ইবরাহীম! তুমিই কি আমাদের উপাস্যগুলির উপর এরূপ করেছ?

Sahih International:
They said, "Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?"
قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَـٰذَا فَسْـَٔلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ يَنطِقُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সে বললঃ সে’ই তো এটা করেছে, এইতো এদের প্রধান। এদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর যদি এরা কথা বলতে পারে।
English
Sahih International:
He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak."
فَرَجَعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তখন তারা মনে মনে চিন্তা করে দেখল এবং একে অপরকে বলতে লাগলঃ তোমরাইতো সীমালংঘনকারী।

Sahih International:
So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers."
ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رُءُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ يَنطِقُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অতঃপর তাদের মাথা নত হয়ে গেল এবং তারা বললঃ তুমিতো জানই যে, এরা কথা বলেনা।

Sahih International:
Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"
قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সে বললঃ তাহলে কি তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুর ইবাদাত কর যারা তোমাদের কোন উপকার করতে পারেনা, ক্ষতিও করতে পারেনা?
English
Sahih International:
He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allāh that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?
أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
ধিক তোমাদেরকে এবং আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদের ইবাদাত কর তাদেরকে! তোমরা কি বুঝবেনা?
English
Sahih International:
Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allāh. Then will you not use reason?"
قَالُوا۟ حَرِّقُوهُ وَٱنصُرُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَـٰعِلِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা বললঃ তাকে পুড়িয়ে দাও এবং সাহায্য কর তোমাদের দেবতাগুলিকে, যদি তোমরা কিছু করতে চাও।
English
Sahih International:
They said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act."
قُلْنَا يَـٰنَارُ كُونِى بَرْدًا وَسَلَـٰمًا عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি বললামঃ হে আগুন! তুমি ইবরাহীমের জন্য শীতল ও নিরাপদ হয়ে যাও।

Sahih International:
We [i.e., Allāh] said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham."
وَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা তার ক্ষতি সাধনের ইচ্ছা করেছিল। কিন্তু আমি তাদেরকে করে দিলাম সর্বাধিক ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত।
English
Sahih International:
And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the greatest losers.
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِى بَـٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর আমি তাকে ও লূতকে উদ্ধার করে নিয়ে গেলাম সেই দেশে যেথায় আমি কল্যাণ রেখেছি বিশ্ববাসীর জন্য।
English
Sahih International:
And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds [i.e., peoples].
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَـٰلِحِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং আমি ইবরাহীমকে দান করেছিলাম ইসহাক এবং পুরস্কার স্বরূপ ইয়াকূব; এবং প্রত্যেককেই করেছিলাম সৎকর্মপরায়ণ।

Sahih International:
And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous.
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَإِقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا عَـٰبِدِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর আমি তাদেরকে করেছিলাম নেতা; তারা আমার নির্দেশ অনুসারে মানুষকে পথ প্রদর্শন করত। তাদের কাছে আমি অহী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম সৎ কাজ করতে, সালাত কায়েম করতে এবং যাকাত প্রদান করতে; তারা আমারই ইবাদাত করত।

Sahih International:
And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakāh; and they were worshippers of Us.
وَلُوطًا ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِى كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ ٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَ ۗ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَـٰسِقِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং লূতকে দিয়েছিলাম প্রজ্ঞা ও জ্ঞান, আর তাকে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম এমন এক জনপদ হতে যার অধিবাসীরা লিপ্ত ছিল অশ্লীল কাজে। তারা ছিল এক মন্দ সম্প্রদায়; সত্যত্যাগী।

Sahih International:
And to Lot We gave judgement and knowledge, and We saved him from the city that was committing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people of evil, defiantly disobedient.
وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُ فِى رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং তাকে আমি আমার অনুগ্রহভাজন করেছিলাম; সে ছিল সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
English
Sahih International:
And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous.
وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
স্মরণ কর নূহকে; পূর্বে সে যখন আহবান করেছিল তখন আমি সাড়া দিয়েছিলাম তার আহবানে এবং তাকে ও তার পরিজনবর্গকে মহাসংকট হতে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম।

Sahih International:
And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allāh] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great affliction [i.e., the flood].
وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং আমি তাকে সাহায্য করেছিলাম সেই সম্প্রদায়ের বিরুদ্ধে যারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলী অস্বীকার করেছিল, তারা ছিল এক মন্দ সম্প্রদায়; এ জন্য তাদের সবাইকে আমি নিমজ্জিত করেছিলাম।

Sahih International:
And We aided [i.e., saved] him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together.
وَدَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِى ٱلْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ ٱلْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَـٰهِدِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং স্মরণ কর দাউদ ও সুলাইমানের কথা, যখন তারা বিচার করছিল শস্যক্ষেত্র সম্পর্কে; তাতে রাতে প্রবেশ করেছিল কোন সম্প্রদায়ের মেষ; আমি প্রত্যক্ষ করছিলাম তাদের বিচার।
English
Sahih International:
And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement.
فَفَهَّمْنَـٰهَا سُلَيْمَـٰنَ ۚ وَكُلًّا ءَاتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا ۚ وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُۥدَ ٱلْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَٱلطَّيْرَ ۚ وَكُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং আমি সুলাইমানকে এ বিষয়ের মীমাংসা বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছিলাম এবং তাদের প্রত্যেককে আমি দিয়েছিলাম প্রজ্ঞা ও জ্ঞান। আমি পর্বত ও বিহঙ্গকূলের জন্য নিয়ম করে দিয়েছিলাম যেন ওরা দাউদের সাথে আমার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করে; এ সমস্ত আমিই করেছিলাম।
English
Sahih International:
And We gave understanding of it [i.e., the case] to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that].
وَعَلَّمْنَـٰهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّنۢ بَأْسِكُمْ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَـٰكِرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি তাকে তোমাদের জন্য বর্ম নির্মাণ শিক্ষা দিয়েছিলাম যাতে ওটা তোমাদের যুদ্ধে তোমাদেরকে রক্ষা করে; সুতরাং তোমরা কি কৃতজ্ঞ হবেনা?
English
Sahih International:
And We taught him the fashioning of coats of armor to protect you from your [enemy in] battle. So will you then be grateful?
وَلِسُلَيْمَـٰنَ ٱلرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِى بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِى بَـٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا ۚ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَـٰلِمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং সুলাইমানের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছিলাম উদ্দাম বায়ুকে; ওটা তার আদেশক্রমে প্রবাহিত হত সেই দেশের দিকে যেখানে আমি কল্যাণ রেখেছি। প্রত্যেক বিষয় সম্পর্কে আমিই সম্যক অবগত।

Sahih International:
And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing.
وَمِنَ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُۥ وَيَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حَـٰفِظِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং শাইতানদের মধ্যে কতক তার জন্য ডুবুরীর কাজ করত, এটা ছাড়া অন্য কাজও করত; আমি তাদের দিকে সতর্ক দৃষ্টি রাখতাম।
English
Sahih International:
And of the devils [i.e., jinn] were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them a guardian.
۞ وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর স্মরণ কর আইয়ুবের কথা, যখন সে তার রাব্বকে আহবান করে বলেছিলঃ আমি দুঃখ কষ্টে পতিত হয়েছি, আপনিতো দয়ালুদের মধ্যে সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ দয়ালু।

Sahih International:
And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful."
فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِۦ مِن ضُرٍّ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ أَهْلَهُۥ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَـٰبِدِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তখন আমি তার ডাকে সাড়া দিলাম, তার দুঃখ কষ্ট দূরীভূত করে দিলাম, তাকে তার পরিবার পরিজন ফিরিয়ে দিয়েছিলাম, তাদের সাথে তাদের মত আরও দিয়েছিলাম আমার বিশেষ রাহমাত রূপে এবং ইবাদাতকারীদের জন্য উপদেশ স্বরূপ।

Sahih International:
So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers [of Allāh].
وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ ۖ كُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর স্মরণ কর ইসমাঈল, ইদরীস এবং যুলকিফল- এর কথা, তাদের প্রত্যেকেই ছিল ধৈর্যশীল।

Sahih International:
And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.
وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُمْ فِى رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং তাদেরকে আমি আমার অনুগ্রহ ভাজন করেছিলাম, তারা ছিল সৎকর্মপরায়ণ।

Sahih International:
And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous.
وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَـٰضِبًا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ أَن لَّآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর স্মরণ কর যুন-নূন এর কথা, যখন সে ক্রোধভরে বের হয়ে গিয়েছিল এবং মনে করেছিল আমি তার জন্য শাস্তি নির্ধারণ করবনা; অতঃপর সে অন্ধকার হতে আহবান করেছিলঃ আপনি ছাড়া কোন মা‘বূদ নেই; আপনি পবিত্র, মহান; আমিতো সীমালংঘনকারী।

Sahih International:
And [mention] the man of the fish [i.e., Jonah], when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."
فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُـۨجِى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তখন আমি তার ডাকে সাড়া দিয়েছিলাম এবং তাকে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম দুশ্চিন্তা হতে এবং এভাবেই আমি মু'মিনদেরকে উদ্ধার করে থাকি।

Sahih International:
So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.
وَزَكَرِيَّآ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِى فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং স্মরণ কর যাকারিয়ার কথা, যখন সে তার রাব্বকে আহবান করে বলেছিলঃ হে আমার রাব্ব! আমাকে একা ছেড়ে দিবেননা, আপনি চূড়ান্ত মালিকানার অধিকারী

Sahih International:
And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while You are the best of inheritors."
فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَـٰشِعِينَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অতঃপর আমি তার আহবানে সাড়া দিয়েছিলাম এবং তাকে দান করেছিলাম ইয়াহইয়াকে, আর তার জন্য তার স্ত্রীকে যোগ্যতা সম্পন্ন করেছিলাম; তারা সৎকর্মে প্রতিযোগিতা করত, তারা আমাকে ডাকত আশা ও ভীতির সাথে এবং তারা ছিল আমার নিকট বিনীত।

Sahih International:
So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.
وَٱلَّتِىٓ أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا وَٱبْنَهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর স্মরণ কর সেই নারীকে যে নিজ সতীত্বকে রক্ষা করেছিল এবং আমি তার মধ্যে আত্মা ফুঁকে দিয়েছি, এবং তাকে ও তার পুত্রকে করেছিলাম বিশ্ববাসীর জন্য এক নিদর্শন।
English
Sahih International:
And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity [i.e., Mary], so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [i.e., Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds.
إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦٓ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُونِ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এই যে তোমাদের জাতি, এটাতো একই জাতি এবং আমিই তোমাদের রাব্ব, অতএব আমার ইবাদাত কর।
English
Sahih International:
Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.
وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَٰجِعُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
কিন্তু মানুষ নিজেদের কার্যকলাপে পরস্পরের মধ্যে বিভেদ সৃষ্টি করেছে; প্রত্যেকেই প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে আমার নিকট।
English
Sahih International:
And [yet] they divided their affair [i.e., that of their religion] among themselves, [but] all to Us will return.
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ كَـٰتِبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সুতরাং যদি কেহ মু’মিন হয়ে সৎ কাজ করে তাহলে তার কাজ প্রচেষ্টা অগ্রাহ্য হবেনা এবং আমিতো তা লিখে রাখি।
English
Sahih International:
So whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer - no denial will there be for his effort, and indeed We [i.e., Our angels], of it, are recorders.
وَحَرَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَآ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যে সব জনপদকে আমি ধ্বংস করেছি তার অধিবাসীদের ফিরে না আসা অবধারিত –
English
Sahih International:
And it is prohibited to [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنسِلُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যে পর্যন্ত না ইয়াজুজ ও মা’জুজকে বন্ধনমুক্ত করে দেয়া হবে এবং তারা প্রত্যক উঁচু ভূমি থেকে দ্রুত ছুটে আসবে।

Sahih International:
Until when [the dam of] Gog and Magog has been opened and they, from every elevation, descend
وَٱقْتَرَبَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِىَ شَـٰخِصَةٌ أَبْصَـٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অমোঘ প্রতিশ্রুত কাল আসন্ন হলে অকস্মাৎ কাফিরদের চক্ষু স্থির হয়ে যাবে। তারা বলবেঃ হায় দুর্ভোগ আমাদের! আমরাতো ছিলাম এ বিষয়ে উদাসীন; না, বরং আমরা ছিলাম সীমালংঘনকারী।

Sahih International:
And [when] the true promise [i.e., the resurrection] has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], "O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers."
إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَٰرِدُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তোমরা এবং আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদের ইবাদাত কর সেগুলিতো জাহান্নামের ইন্ধন; তোমরা সবাই তাতে প্রবেশ করবে।
English
Sahih International:
Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allāh are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it.
لَوْ كَانَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ءَالِهَةً مَّا وَرَدُوهَا ۖ وَكُلٌّ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যদি তারা উপাস্য হত তাহলে তারা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করত না; তাদের সবাই তাতে স্থায়ী হবে।
English
Sahih International:
Had these [false deities] been [actual] gods, they would not have come to it, but all are eternal therein.
لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সেখানে থাকবে তাদের আর্তনাদ এবং সেখানে তারা কিছুই শুনতে পাবেনা।
English
Sahih International:
For them therein is heavy sighing, and they therein will not hear.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا ٱلْحُسْنَىٰٓ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যাদের জন্য আমার নিকট থেকে পূর্ব হতে কল্যাণ নির্ধারিত রয়েছে তাদেরকে তা হতে দূরে রাখা হবে।
English
Sahih International:
Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed.
لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا ۖ وَهُمْ فِى مَا ٱشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَـٰلِدُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা ওর ক্ষীণতম শব্দও শুনতে পাবেনা এবং সেখানে তারা তাদের মন যা চায় চিরকাল তা ভোগ করবে।
English
Sahih International:
They will not hear its sound, while they are, in that which their souls desire, abiding eternally.
لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ ٱلْفَزَعُ ٱلْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ هَـٰذَا يَوْمُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
মহাভীতি তাদেরকে বিষাদ ক্লিষ্ট করবেনা এবং মালাইকারা তাদেরকে অভ্যর্থনা করবে এই বলেঃ এই তোমাদের সেই দিন যার প্রতিশ্রুতি তোমাদেরকে দেয়া হয়েছিল।

Sahih International:
They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the angels will meet them, [saying], "This is your Day which you have been promised" -
يَوْمَ نَطْوِى ٱلسَّمَآءَ كَطَىِّ ٱلسِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأْنَآ أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُّعِيدُهُۥ ۚ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সেদিন আমি আকাশকে গুটিয়ে ফেলবো, যেভাবে গুটানো হয় লিখিত দফতর। যেভাবে আমি সৃষ্টির সূচনা করেছিলাম সেভাবে পুনরায় সৃষ্টি করব; প্রতিশ্রুতি পালন আমার কর্তব্য, আমি এটা পালন করবই।

Sahih International:
The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it.
وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِى ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلذِّكْرِ أَنَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি উপদেশের পর কিতাবে লিখে দিয়েছি যে, আমার যোগ্যতাসম্পন্ন বান্দারা পৃথিবীর অধিকারী হবে।
English
Sahih International:
And We have already written in the book [of Psalms] after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants.
إِنَّ فِى هَـٰذَا لَبَلَـٰغًا لِّقَوْمٍ عَـٰبِدِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এতে রয়েছে বাণী, সেই সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য, যারা ইবাদাত করে।
English
Sahih International:
Indeed, in this [Qur’ān] is notification for a worshipping people.
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমিতো তোমাকে বিশ্ব জগতের প্রতি শুধু রাহমাত রূপেই প্রেরণ করেছি।
English
Sahih International:
And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.
قُلْ إِنَّمَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
বলঃ আমার প্রতি অহী হয় যে, তোমাদের মা‘বূদ একই মা‘বূদ; সুতরাং তোমরা হয়ে যাও আত্মসমর্পনকারী।
English
Sahih International:
Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?"
فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُلْ ءَاذَنتُكُمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍ ۖ وَإِنْ أَدْرِىٓ أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যদি তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় তাহলে তুমি বলঃ আমি তোমাদেরকে যথাযথভাবে জানিয়ে দিয়েছি এবং তোমাদেরকে যে বিষয়ে প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয়া হয়েছে, আমি জানিনা, তা আসন্ন, না দূরস্থিত।

Sahih International:
But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised.
إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْتُمُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তিনি জানেন যা কথায় ব্যক্ত কর এবং যা তোমরা গোপন কর।
English
Sahih International:
Indeed, He knows what is declared of speech, and He knows what you conceal.
وَإِنْ أَدْرِى لَعَلَّهُۥ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَـٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আমি জানিনা, হয়তো এটা তোমাদের জন্য এক পরীক্ষা এবং জীবন উপভোগ কিছু কালের জন্য।
English
Sahih International:
And I know not; perhaps it is a trial for you and enjoyment for a time."
قَـٰلَ رَبِّ ٱحْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۗ وَرَبُّنَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ٱلْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَىٰ مَا تَصِفُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
রাসূল বলেছিলঃ হে আমার রাব্ব! আপনি ন্যায়ের সাথে ফাইসালা করে দিন, আমাদের রাব্বতো দয়াময়, তোমরা যা বলেছ সে বিষয়ে একমাত্র সহায়স্থল তিনিই।

Sahih International:
[The Prophet (ﷺ)] has said, "My Lord, judge [between us] in truth. And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the one whose help is sought against that which you describe."
