English Translation
إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সূর্য যখন নিস্প্রভ হবে,

Sahih International:
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যখন নক্ষত্ররাজি খসে পড়বে,

Sahih International:
And when the stars fall, dispersing,
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
পর্বতসমূহকে যখন চলমান করা হবে,

Sahih International:
And when the mountains are removed
وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যখন পূর্ণ-গর্ভা উষ্ট্রী উপেক্ষিত হবে,

Sahih International:
And when full-term she-camels are neglected
وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যখন বন্য পশুগুলি একত্রীকৃত হবে;

Sahih International:
And when the wild beasts are gathered
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং সমুদ্রগুলিকে যখন উদ্বেলিত করা হবে;

Sahih International:
And when the seas are filled with flame
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
দেহে যখন আত্মা পুনঃসংযোজিত হবে,

And when the souls are paired
وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যখন জীবন্ত প্রোথিতা কন্যাকে জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে –

Sahih International:
And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked
بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
কি অপরাধে তাকে হত্যা করা হয়েছিল?

Sahih International:
For what sin she was killed
وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যখন ‘আমলনামা উন্মোচিত হবে,

Sahih International:
And when the pages are spread [i.e., made public]
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যখন আকাশের আবরণ অপসারিত হবে,

Sahih International:
And when the sky is stripped away
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
জাহান্নামের আগুন যখন উদ্দীপিত করা হবে,

Sahih International:
And when Hellfire is set ablaze
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং জান্নাত যখন নিকটর্বতী করা হবে,

Sahih International:
And when Paradise is brought near,
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তখন প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তিই জানবে সে কি নিয়ে এসেছে।

Sahih International:
A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
কিন্তু না, আমি প্রত্যাবর্তনকারী তারকাপুঞ্জের শপথ করছি!

Sahih International:
So I swear by the retreating stars -
ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যা গতিশীল ও স্থিতিবান;

Sahih International:
Those that run [their courses] and disappear [i.e., set]
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
শপথ রাতের যখন ওর আবির্ভাব হয়,

Sahih International:
And by the night as it closes in
وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর উষার যখন ওর আবির্ভাব হয়,
English
Sahih International:
And by the dawn when it breathes [i.e., stirs]
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
নিশ্চয়ই এই কুরআন সম্মানিত বার্তাবহের আনীত বাণী।

Sahih International:
[That] indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger [i.e., Gabriel]
ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যে সামর্থশালী, আরশের মালিকের নিকট মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন,

Sahih International:
[Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],
مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যাকে সেখানে মান্য করা হয় এবং যে বিশ্বাসভাজন।

Sahih International:
Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.
وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং তোমাদের সহচর উন্মাদ নয়,
English
Sahih International:
And your companion [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ) ] is not [at all] mad.
وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সেতো তাকে স্পষ্ট দিগন্তে অবলোকন করেছে।
English
Sahih International:
And he has already seen him [i.e., Gabriel] in the clear horizon.
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সে অদৃশ্য বিষয় সম্পর্কে বর্ণনা করতে কার্পন্য করেনা।

Sahih International:
And he [i.e., Muḥammad (ﷺ)] is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَـٰنٍ رَّجِيمٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং ইহা অভিশপ্ত শাইতানের বাক্য নয়।

Sahih International:
And it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].
فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সুতরাং তোমরা কোথায় চলেছ?

Sahih International:
So where are you going?
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এটাতো শুধু বিশ্বজগতের জন্য উপদেশ –

Sahih International:
It is not except a reminder to the worlds
لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তোমাদের মধ্যে যে সরল পথে চলতে চায় তার জন্য।
English
Sahih International:
For whoever wills among you to take a right course.
وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তোমরা ইচ্ছা করবেনা, যদি জগতসমূহের রাব্ব আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা না করেন।

Sahih International:
And you do not will except that Allāh wills - Lord of the worlds.
