English Translation
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
মন্দ পরিণাম তাদের জন্য যারা মাপে কম দেয়,
English
Sahih International:
Woe to those who give less [than due],
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যারা লোকের নিকট হতে মেপে নেয়ার সময় পূর্ণ মাত্রায় গ্রহণ করে।
English
Sahih International:
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং যখন তাদের জন্য মেপে অথবা ওজন করে দেয় তখন কম দেয়।
English
Sahih International:
But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা কি চিন্তা করেনা যে, তারা পুনরুত্থিত হবে,

Sahih International:
Do they not think that they will be resurrected
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সেই মহান দিনে;
English
Sahih International:
For a tremendous Day -
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যে দিন দাঁড়াবে সমস্ত মানুষ জগতসমূহের রবের সম্মুখে!

Sahih International:
The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
না, না, কখনই না; পাপাচারীদের ‘আমলনামা নিশ্চয়ই সিজ্জীনে থাকে;

Sahih International:
No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সিজ্জীন কি তা কি তুমি জান?
English
Sahih International:
And what can make you know what is sijjeen?
كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
ওটা হচ্ছে লিখিত পুস্তক।

Sahih International:
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সেদিন মন্দ পরিণাম হবে মিথ্যাচারীদের –

Sahih International:
Woe, that Day, to the deniers,
ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
যারা কর্মফল দিনকে অস্বীকার করে,
English
Sahih International:
Who deny the Day of Recompense.
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আর সীমা লংঘনকারী মহাপাপী ব্যতীত কেহই ওকে মিথ্যা বলতে পারেনা।
English
Sahih International:
And none deny it except every sinful transgressor.
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তার নিকট আমার আয়াতসমূহ আবৃত্তি করা হলে সে বলেঃ এটাতো পূরাকালীন কাহিনী।

Sahih International:
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
না, এটা সত্য নয়, বরং তাদের কৃতকর্মের ফলেই তাদের মনের উপর মরিচা জমে গেছে।

Sahih International:
No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
না, অবশ্যই সেদিন তারা তাদের রবের সাক্ষাত হতে অন্তরীণ থাকবে;

Sahih International:
No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অনন্তর নিশ্চয়ই তারা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে;

Sahih International:
Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অতঃপর বলা হবেঃ এটাই তা যা তোমরা অস্বীকার করতে।

Sahih International:
Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অবশ্যই পুণ্যবানদের ‘আমলনামা ইল্লিয়্যীনে থাকবে,

Sahih International:
No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in ʿilliyyūn.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
ইল্লিয়্যীন কি তা কি তুমি জান?
English
Sahih International:
And what can make you know what is ʿilliyyūn?
كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
(তা হচ্ছে) লিখিত পুস্তক।

Sahih International:
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed
يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আল্লাহর সান্নিধ্য প্রাপ্তরা ওটা প্রত্যক্ষ করবে।

Sahih International:
Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allāh].
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সৎ আমলকারীতো থাকবে পরম স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যে।

Sahih International:
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তারা সুসজ্জিত আসনে বসে অবলোকন করবে।
English
Sahih International:
On adorned couches, observing.
تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তুমি তাদের মুখমন্ডলে স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের দীপ্তি দেখতে পাবে,

Sahih International:
You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাদেরকে মোহরযুক্ত বিশুদ্ধ মদিরা হতে পান করানো হবে,

Sahih International:
They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.
خِتَـٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
ওর মোহর হচ্ছে কস্তুরীর। আর থাকে যদি কারও কোন আকাংখা বা কামনা, তাহলে তারা এরই কামনা করুক।

Sahih International:
The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
ওর মিশ্রণ হবে তাসনীমের।

Sahih International:
And its mixture is of Tasneem,
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এটি একটি প্রস্রবণ, যা হতে নৈকট্য প্রাপ্ত ব্যক্তিরা পান করে।

Sahih International:
A spring from which those near [to Allāh] drink.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
অপরাধীরা মু’মিনদেরকে উপহাস করত,
English
Sahih International:
Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং তারা যখন মু’মিনদের নিকট দিয়ে যেত তখন,

Sahih International:
And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং যখন তাদের আপনজনের নিকট ফিরে আসতো তখন তারা ফিরতো উৎফুল্ল হয়ে।

Sahih International:
And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
এবং যখন তাদেরকে দেখত তখন বলতঃ এরাইতো পথভ্রষ্ট।

Sahih International:
And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."
وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَـٰفِظِينَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
তাদেরকে তো এদের সংরক্ষকরূপে পাঠানো হয়নি!

Sahih International:
But they had not been sent as guardians over them.
فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ

শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
আজ তাই মু’মিনগণ উপহাস করছে কাফিরদেরকে –

Sahih International:
So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
সুসজ্জিত আসন হতে তাদেরকে অবলোকন করে।

Sahih International:
On adorned couches, observing.
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ
বাংলা
শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান:
কাফিরেরা তাদের কৃত কর্মের ফল পেলো তো?
English
Sahih International:
Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?
